Midline Shell Necklace
Necklace made with a real shell from a beach in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Crafted with soft metal soldering techniques and a stainless steel chain. The solder metal is an alloy composed of 99.3% tin and 0.7% copper. The product is suitable for sensitive skin and your skin won't turn green!
The piece is resilient (i.e. it'll be fine if you drop it), but do take care to not expose it to harsh chemicals or abrasive materials because tin is a softer metal.
For any tarnish on the metal, you can polish the piece by taking a jewelry polishing cloth and gently rubbing the piece in circular motions. You'll see that the cloth will turn a dark colour. Once you've finished with the polishing cloth, take a clean microfibre cloth and rub the piece in circular motions to reveal the polished finish. To get off any residual polish, you may gently wash the piece in hot soapy water.
To clean the shell, take a soft damp cloth with a little bit of mild (diluted) dish soap and gently wipe the shell.
